Who is Debbie's Quilting Doodles?
I have had a love affair with needlework and sewing since grade school. My first Girl Scout badge, in fact, was the Sewing badge! I began quilting in high school, and quickly became addicted to this ancient-yet-ever-new crown jewel of the fabric arts. I have been a member of the Baltimore Heritage Quilters Guild since 1986.
While my first quilting love has been hand quilting, I have extended my horizons to include hand and machine appliqué, machine quilting, and longarm quilting. I adore every part of the process of making a quilted masterpiece, but I realize that not everyone enjoys the tedious end process of quilting the layers. It's not a quilt until it's quilted! The best part about sending a quilt to a longarmer is that you do not need to baste the layers! I would love to partner with you to turn your tops into gorgeous quilts! I employ both hand-guided free-motion and computer assisted quilting. With each and every quilt, I learn a little more to further enhance those skills. My work ranges from simple edge-to-edge to complex custom and heirloom quilting. Each and every quilt is unique, and I especially enjoy working with my customers to bring their quilt tops to life. I can help you to finish the quilt of your dreams at a reasonable cost. Please contact me to learn how we can plan your project’s completion. Together we will bring something precious and beautiful to life! -- Debbie Riley |
